Today was Harrison's last day of swim class for the summer. It was really amazing watching his progression. He is now really using his arms and legs to move in the water! Pierce and I are going to put him in more lessons this winter at Little Fishes Swim Club. This fall we plan on taking him to our recreational center at least once a week to swim. We want to keep him comfortable in the water and to continue to improve his skills. Plus he really does love to swim!!
Today was an absolutely beautiful day in St. Louis! It was sunny with a high of 76 degrees, a perfect day for the zoo. After swimming Harrison took a great nap for us (1 hour 45 minutes!)and then we were off to the zoo. Harrison was a little crabby so we were only there about an hour but we managed to see the gorillas, chimps, sea lions, penguins, and lots of bears! He really enjoyed looking at all the animals, but didn't quite understand why he couldn't go up and touch them! He was not happy when we wouldn't let him crawl on over to the bears! :) His favorite animal seemed to be the penguins. He loved watching them jump into the water to swim! Here are a few pictures from the day!
